Sadly, large parts of one of the most beautiful states in the USA; California is on fire. More than 2.5 million acres of land have been destroyed which to put into perspective is the size of Rhode Island and Delaware combine! (nearly 20x of what burned last year). The worst part is the fires are still blazing and burning down more homes, forests and anything else in its path. Words will never be able to describe how sad and disheartening it is thinking about all the families & animals that were affected and are still getting affected by the flames. One can rebuild a house but one can not rebuild a life taken weather its a human or an animal. Please please please everyone who are anywhere near the fires, evacuate. Fires of that magnitude an spread at an unreal rate.
We plan on doing something for California wildlife weather it’s donating to a charity or going down to California and help out in any way we can. Now is a great time to come together as one and put our differences aside. An army of 100 will always beat an army of one.
This has been the most devastating and unprecedented fire season to date. Blazes are tearing through entire towns, destroying thousands of homes, and creating an ultra thick blanket of smoke that leaves the sky ominously dark throughout the day. Helicopter pilots say rescue missions have been the ‘toughest flying’ they’ve ever done.
The fires aren’t just in California, they’re affecting the entire West Coast. “This could be the greatest loss of human lives and property due to wildfire in our state’s history,” says the Governor of Oregon, Kate Brown.
